Glyne Griffith is an emerging entertainment industry executive with a powerful combination of both creative and business savvy that encompasses proficiency in marketing, music performance, public relations, songwriting, advertising, product management, event planning, and performing rights. Along with a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business, Glyne possesses a rich and diverse skill set that has been developed and nurtured through significant roles with major corporate entities that include Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI), Nissan North America, and General Motors, providing marketing, advertising, product planning, and management services for multi-million dollar campaigns. Glyne now adds the role of CEO/President with the launch of his G Favored Entertainment Group LLC, which recently inked a partnership and music distribution deal with Dream Records/Capitol Christian Distribution. This Brooklyn-born native had a well rounded upbringing that included active participation in athletics as well as the creative arts. Glyne’s foray into music began at the age of eight when he started taking classical piano. He proved to be a quick learner and was the recipient of many accolades and awards, most notably a performance at the famed Carnegie Hall for a young artist showcase. At the age of 16 Glyne’s family moved to Florida where he shifted his creative energies towards singing and acting with lead roles in numerous plays and musicals, One of the highlights of his high school career was participating as a vocalist in the Sound of America Honor band and chorus, a European touring group comprised of selected high school students from around the United States. Glyne had the privilege of serving as the sole representative from the state of Florida. Glyne graduated high school being voted as “Most Talented,” by his peers, and set his sights on pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at Florida State University located in Tallahassee, FL. At Florida State University Glyne fully immersed himself into singing while pursuing his engineering degree. As a member of the famed Florida State University Singers he tackled complex classical choral pieces, and simultaneously as a member of Florida State University Gospel Choir developed a passion for Gospel/Christian music. He additionally became involved in event planning, booking, and served as music business liaison on behalf of the Florida State University Gospel choir, booking notable gospel acts such as Donald Lawrence and Ricky Dillard. Glyne caught the Gospel bug and started serving as a choir director for a local church and could be seen in numerous ensembles and community groups ministering around the city and touring throughout the state of Florida. Upon graduation from Florida State University Glyne accepted a job with General Motors and moved to the Detroit, MI which at that time, was still touted as the mecca of Gospel music. The move to Detroit proved to be divine providence for Glyne’s continued growth, both creatively and from an entertainment business standpoint. He had the amazing opportunity to audition and secure a spot as a vocalist for an ensemble founded by renowned music industry brothers, Bill Moss Jr. and J. Moss. Glyne credits his experience and exposure to Bill Moss Jr. and J. Moss as a major influence to his development in the areas of performance, vocal arranging, directing, music business, artist development, and songwriting. In 2006, Glyne accepted a marketing position with Nissan North America and moved to Nashville, TN. Similar to his move to Detroit, Glyne’s relocation to Nashville provided extraordinary growth opportunities. Creatively, Glyne stepped from outside of his comfort zone and served his church as a worship leader and his songwriting took on a new level. From an entertainment business perspective, Glyne had the tremendous opportunity to begin working with Benita Bellamy and The Bellamy Group, an award winning marketing and promotions agency whose clientele includes Grammy, Stellar, and Dove award winning artists. Glyne credits Benita Bellamy’s mentorship as a key factor to the evolution of his entertainment business acumen and holistic understanding of music marketing, radio promotions and artist management. Glyne Griffith’s mantra is based on Jeremiah 29:11. He is equally humbled and astounded by the opportunities and the blessings that he has been given. He stands firm in his belief that he is blessed in order to be a blessing to others and relishes the opportunity to be a vessel that can be used to encourage, inspire and empower. Glyne is married to the lovely Olivia Griffith and is the father of two amazing kids, his son Glyne III A.K.A. Trey, and his daughter Brooklyn.
